Dr Keithley is a chartered counselling psychologist with extensive experience of working in a variety of NHS primary and secondary care mental health services, as well as more traditional counselling settings.
Dr Keithley is fully qualified with both the Health and Care Professionals Council and British Psychological Society. Through clinical work Dr Keithley has significant experience of working with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, trauma, personality issues, OCD, and bipolar disorder.
As a chartered psychologist Dr Keithley adheres to HCPC and BPS ethical and professional practice standards, and is committed to providing therapy that is well researched and has a strong evidence base. Dr Keithley believes that each person’s experience is unique so will often draw upon a number of therapeutic models to tailor each individual package of treatment. This allows Dr Keithley to be flexible and adaptive to your needs, although all practice is based in a warm, open, non-judgmental and compassionate therapeutic relationship.

Specialist Interests
Organisational Psychology- In a previous career, Dr Keithley has worked within Organisational Psychology and also as a management consultant for more than 10 years, thus possesses understanding of the unique challenges and stressors of working in organisational environments. Through extensive prior experience of working within information technology and business consulting, he can bring a holistic and informed perspective when providing psychological support to employees and businesses.
Mental Health in Sport- Dr Keithley has a particular interest in mental health within sport and has supported elite level athletes with their unique challenges in relation to mental health.Psychological therapy within sport can effectively supplement other psychological interventions that are aimed to improve performance.
