Sarah is a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor committed to building respectful, insightful and confidential relationships with clients. The way that client and therapist work together is fundamental in creating what is known as, ‘the therapeutic alliance’. This is the key ingredient in establishing the safety and understanding that enables self-awareness and change. Sarah is influenced by psychodynamic theory and also combines elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in her therapeutic practice.
Sarah has experience of working with a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, anger, loss and grief, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
